Outreach Magazine

A magazine for families affected by Autism

Established in 1997, Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center (SARRC) is an internationally recognized nonprofit that is dedicated to autism research, education, evidence-based treatment, and community outreach. SARRC’s Outreach magazine is produced annually to connect the community and raise awareness about autism. In addition to featuring stories about individuals impacted by autism, Outreach also delivers information about SARRC’s research initiatives, community outreach, events and current news related to autism.

SARRC decided that the magazine could use a refresh so reached out to me to help come up with a new look for the magazine. Working closely with the marketing director and lead writers, we developed a brand guide for the new magazine. After approval from the board of the new look, I was released to design the magazine. The project lasted about 6 weeks from start to finish working closely with the marketing team, I was able to project manage, art direct and produce the magazine on time and under budget. The client was incredibly happy with the final product and appreciative of how smoothly the entire process went.
