Originally opened in 1991, New Life Center (NLC) was the first domestic violence shelter in the West Valley. Now it is one of the largest residential shelters in Maricopa County, and one of the largest in the nation, with 104 beds.
When New Life Center decided they needed an update to their dated look, they reached out to Lord Mandrake for help. By this time NLC was a lot more than just a residential shelter. They had expanded into community service, they work with police to crack down on human trafficking and had opened a thrift store that employed victims of domestic violence.
I proposed a family of logos that represented all the aspects of New Life Center’s new directions.
